The Restaurant

The Purple Pig opened in Chicago in 2009 on Michigan Avenue and earned the Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2011 — and every year since. In March 2026, we brought that same Mediterranean-inspired cooking to Oakbrook Center.

Across 11,000 square feet, our Oak Brook location seats 300 in the dining room, with two private dining rooms — The Gigi Room and The Livy Room — and a 60-seat seasonal patio. There's also a Marketplace just inside the door, open seven days a week.

Executive Chef Efrain "Effy" Medrano oversees both kitchens. Chef Partner Tony Mantuano — a James Beard Award winner for Best Chef Midwest — anchors the culinary direction.

Mediterranean small plates with influences from Italy, Spain, Greece, and the Levant. House-cured meats, an extensive cheese program, and pastas made in-house daily.

The Marketplace

Walk in, grab a coffee, take home dinner. Our Marketplace is open seven days a week for grab-and-go pastries, espresso drinks, pizza by the slice, artisan gelato, and a curated selection of imported pantry items under our private label.

No reservation needed. Just walk in.

Private Dining

The Gigi Room and The Livy Room host private events of up to 60 guests each. Anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, milestone birthdays, corporate gatherings — full menu service, full bar, your own room.
